Who runs it

Rowsmith is made and run by WeldonPC.com. It is published at the web address gallivantus.com; that address is only where the site lives.

What it is not

Rowsmith is not a pattern shop, a yarn shop or a community. It does not sell, rate or review anything, and it does not publish patterns. It is not connected with Uncrate LLC or ZombieCorp LLC (the Gallivant travel publication), Gallivant LLC (the Gallivant itinerary app), or any other business, service, product, yarn or pattern named Gallivant.

Where the numbers come from

• Even spacing, gauge and yarn amounts are plain arithmetic, done by the site’s own code and shown step by step on each page.
• Needle and hook sizes and the yarn weight categories are the Craft Yarn Council’s published standards, credited and linked on the sizes page.
• No AI works out any answer and no outside service is asked: every result comes from the site’s own code. The pages were written with the help of an AI assistant and checked against the sources named here.

Mistakes

If a result looks wrong, count it by hand on a few stitches first; if the site is wrong, we want to fix it. Rowsmith is in preview while payments are being set up.
